Greensboro has a 180-day moratorium on new data centers in place, and City Council is holding public work sessions on water, wastewater, power and regulations at 3 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, in the Plaza Level Conference Room of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St.
Guilford County commissioners voted unanimously to set a public hearing for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 on a 180-day moratorium covering unincorporated parts of the county. County Planning Director Leslie Bell told commissioners there are no pending data center applications, the Rhino Times reported.
