Hall of Fame inducts its 21st class and awards two student scholarships

Ragsdale's Emily Fisher and Western Guilford's Collin Auer each receive $1,000.

The Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame inducted its 21st class on Sept. 14: 10 laureates and one Legend, a designation for honorees who have died. Inductees include Smith High graduate and former NFL tight end Eric Ebron.

The Hall of Fame awarded its $1,000 scholarships to Emily Fisher of Ragsdale, her team's volleyball defensive player of the year and class valedictorian, and Collin Auer of Western Guilford, a National Honor Society member and AP Scholar of Distinction. Both plan to attend N.C. State, according to Guilford County Schools.

Separately, the NCHSAA recognized Northeast Guilford, Southeast Guilford and T.W. Andrews as ejection-free schools for 2025-26.
