High Point council meets Monday: annexation, grant money and a no-bid purchase

High Point City Council holds a special meeting at 4 p.m. and its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5. The agenda includes setting a Nov. 16 public hearing on annexation case 26-02, about 6.8 acres; reallocation of $452,154 in CDBG-CV grant money; a $79,000 sole-source purchase of a Glacier AI scanner; and a $250,039 SCADA contract with CITI.

Mayor Cyril Jefferson is also on the November ballot as the Democratic nominee in the 6th Congressional District. Monica Peters is mayor pro tem.
