Information as of Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.
A presidential proclamation published in the Federal Register on Jan. 9 delayed for a year the planned increase in Section 232 tariffs on upholstered furniture (25 to 30 percent) and kitchen cabinets and vanities (25 to 50 percent). The higher rates now take effect Jan. 1, 2027, except for countries that reach an agreement with the United States. The 25 percent rates remain in effect.
